More marketers than ever before attend the world’s largest consumer electronics show, best known as CES. This “tradeshow” has reached new heights of importance among an unlikely group of attendees, from non-electronic focused brands, to advertisers, creatives and media folks alike. The event has reached the same level of must attend status as that of Cannes, 4As and ANA conferences, but why do we all go? Marketers need to understand how people will live and CES is a great way to get a look into the near and distant future, but the frenzy may also just be a severe case of FOMO.

There are as many different reasons for attending CES as there are electronic toothbrushes at the LVCC (Las Vegas Convention Center). Come hear three distinctly different perspectives on why we attend CES and most importantly what our panelists took away from their stay on the strip.

Jane Lacher, EVP Strategy, Zenith

Helen Lin is the President, Digital, Publicis Media Exchange – U.S.

With over 20 years of experience in digital media and marketing, Helen now manages the digital investment and negotiations on behalf of the entire Publicis Media network, representing the group in industry-leading digital initiatives.
Prior to her recent promotion to Publicis Media Exchange, Helen served as EVP – Managing Director, Digital & Magazine Activation at Zenith for over five years, overseeing the planning, buying, integration and analysis of digital media platforms and print properties for clients including Verizon, Chase, Coty, Kohl’s, Farmers, Puma and many others.
Helen’s vision, collaboration and leadership of massive agency digital initiatives led to widespread industry recognition, including being named a 2016 Cynopsis Top Women in Digital honoree and a 2016 Adweek Media All-Star. Helen’s professional focus goes beyond client work, as she has established a reputation as an incredible mentor and role model among her teams.

Meet Karna Crawford, Senior Vice President, Head of Marketing Strategy & Digital Development, JPMorgan Chase-Consumer Bank

Karna has nearly 20 years of experience leading integrated marketing and media for large scale brands. At JP Morgan Chase, she leverages her unique blend of analytical horsepower and creative prowess to inspire teams, to lead ground-breaking integrated marketing, including media strategy, and digital marketing, and marketing transformation efforts for the Consumer Bank. Prior to joining JP Morgan Chase, Karna held positions at The Coca-Cola Company, Miller Brewing Company, and various Publicis Groupe agencies. Karna received her BSE in Biomedical Engineering from Tulane University and her MBA in Strategy & Leadership from Emory University.

Kristina Hahn, Head of Americas Publisher Solutions and Innovation Google

Kristina joined Google in 2006 when they launched the Google Audio platform. At Google Kristina has worked across many verticals helping CPG, Financial Services and Auto companies design solutions that solve their business challenges utilizing Google's search, display, video, social, mobile, and programmatic offering.

Kristina is at the forefront of online live streaming brokering the deal between YouTube, VEVO and American Express to create the award winning Unstaged music series.

A graduate of Syracuse University, Kristina has a B.A. in both Political Science and Broadcast Journalism. She is President of the Executive Board for the Newhouse 44, the heart of the Newhouse Alumni Network and a mentor for the Newhouse School’s Center for Digital Media Entrepreneurship. Kristina is an active member of the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) sitting on the founding commission for Digital Media Sales Certification. Her team has received multiple Effie and Webby Awards.

Kristina is also the founder and CEO of Kristina Hahn Consulting, LLC which advises start ups and makes angel investments in the NYC area.
